What is it?

Fathers came in to class for what they thought was their child’s career day. It turned out to be a way to honor the dads in the classroom as a Father’s Day surprise.


 

Why it’s good

This commercial is simply touching. The audience is able to see the connection between child and father and a wide audience can relate to that, making it impactful. Many people have a relationship with a father or have a child of their own. The message is very clearly supporting dads. Kleenex is able to utilize the heartwarming approach to advertising because, well, they’re a tissue company and they want you to shed a tear. It is overall very authentic and well done.

Was it successful?

Released a year ago, the advertisement had a true reach of 3,231,259 views and over 8,000 interactions according to visiblemeasures.com. The video on YouTube has tens of thousands of views and positive reactions.
