• Reports to agency Creative Director
  • 3-5 years of design experience required, agency experience preferred
  • Killer book with work that you have personally produced
  • A mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • A working knowledge of motion and digital design applications

The Senior Designer we are looking for must possess superior visual, conceptual and communication skills and boast a knowledge of media requirements / terminology and vendor requirements / capabilities.

Can you advise, build and manage complex campaigns and ad communication…and yet, still master modern or classic typography and photography layouts to “wow” everyone in more traditional print/magazine assignments?

As far as the more traditional requirements go –

You must be able to:

  • Design at a level that will help us establish and maintain the highest possible design standards across TV, print, outdoor, web, social, mobile, and digital (and whatever other tech is lurking around the corner) also have the hands-on ability to create print ad, brochures, booklets, fliers, OOH, OLV
  • Oversee and direct the quality, finish, and standards of creative, design, art and conceptual materials produced by yourself, internal and freelance designers.
  • Commit to work with a copywriter partner to ideate, create and translate those ideas into finished advertising communication.
    Source and manage licensing on stock photography/videography assets.
  • Thrive in a deadline-oriented environment and work collaboratively to achieve a unified vision for client work. Helping everyone have a voice or be heard throughout the process.
  • Display the commitment and passion to grow your own personal design skills and encourage the professional development of staff alike.
  • Create and concept efficient visual executions of creative concepts that mirror objectives in a Creative Brief or by Creative Director assignment.
  • Possess the communication skills to consult with the Creative Director, as well as copywriters, production, and Account Executives as necessary to achieve agency and client objectives.
  • Engage in the personal development necessary to stay current in advertising/ design techniques and standards, and research activity required to become more familiar with our current (and future) clients’ businesses.
  • Direct and collaborate with photographers, directors, and talent at photo sessions.
  • Oversee standards in type specification, color quality, and when necessary, oversee the inspection and approval of separations, and selection of paper stocks and print and production specs and be available for press checks.
  • Work with the Creative Director to develop standards for administering office procedures like scheduling, vacations, sick days, time off, as outlined by agency policy.
  • Collaborate with the account team and management to assign or forecast overtime to meet overload on client demand.
  • Be ready to meet the additional demands of the Creative Director to own direction on pitches, presentations, or client assignments from time to time.
