We need a local account executive who can lead the pack as we grow our client base. If you have experience working in an agency environment and excel in strategic thinking, digital marketing, proposal writing, research and especially client relations and media planning, we want to hear from you!

Job Description

We need an energetic, knock your socks off, strategy lovin’ account executive to be a key member the account team at our ad agency. Must be VERY organized, have great presentation and communication skills, LOVE Excel spreadsheets, have a passion for marketing and advertising and be willing to wear many hats as clients’ needs fly fast and furious. There is never a dull moment at our agency! You will lead client initiatives and work with them to create a solid strategy that moves the needle. We want you to be committed to their business goals and success as well as ours. We need your fresh ideas, perspective and skills.

Job Responsibilities

Handles day-to-day activities for assigned clients including all client correspondence such as: phone calls, emails, agendas, memos, meetings, meeting minutes, letters, creative briefs, proposals, project budgets and schedules.

Effectively presents, sells and supports all agency work/proposals to clients; supports other client service team members in these functions. These activities include, but are not limited to, leading clients through a concept, discussing revisions, strategy, budgeting, scheduling, project and production coordination, managing media buys, documenting decisions and approvals, billing and coordinating the delivery of final art files produced by our creative department to the client/publisher.

Works with the creative and digital teams to develop and deliver concepts and deliverables to the client that are on strategy. This includes brainstorming, concepting, strategic creation and documentation of what is approved to move forward and what is not. Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval of same. Demonstrates continued thought leadership and value to clientele by offering creative, strategic and general marketing support: research, media buy opportunities, webinars or continued learning/network events.

Supports and develops estimates/pitch materials during new-business development. Assists/leads in new-business presentations, sending client follow-ups and creating marketing decks to demonstrate agency capabilities. Once new business has been won, creates project estimates and opens new account. Directs the creation of monthly client invoicing as it relates to active clients and manages monthly projections. Analyzes month-to-date billing and creates a draft of monthly invoicing for the director to review and post.

Strives to develop trusted advisor relationships with key account stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Prefer 3 to 4 years of agency or marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, marketing or communications
  • Media planning experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite including a mastery of Excel and Word. InDesign skills would be a plus.
  • Healthcare and financial experience a plus
