SITUATION

Marshfield Clinic, a healthcare system with a century-long commitment to caring for residents of central and northern Wisconsin, is proactive about patient care. With more than 50 locations across the state, it provides everything from primary care to hip replacements. Despite all the services Marshfield Clinic offers, it started to see a growing need to educate its community about childhood obesity and early onset diabetes.

Enter Doc Marsh.




SOLUTION

Marshfield Clinic engaged 6AM to perform brand and consumer research to determine the best way to engage families to encourage them to start and maintain healthy habits.

After carefully sifting through the data, 6AM launched the Doc Marsh brand in July 2015, just in time to reach parents scheduling annual physicals for kids heading back to school. In addition to a presence on the Marshfield Clinic website, 6AM constructed a Facebook page for the Doc to set up shop. A Facebook page “like” campaign helped get the word out about the new doctor on the block, and engagement campaigns were launched to make sure parents didn’t have to hunt and peck for valuable information about the latest health trends.

Today the Doc March Facebook page is a parent’s one-stop-shop for the latest medical news about nutrition, activity, rest and safety. Not to mention a few jokes for some light-hearted fun. 

In addition to the digital solutions, 6AM created an interactive direct mailer introducing Doc Marsh to parents and children in the Clinic’s area.




RESULTS

Less than six months after its launch, the Doc Marsh Facebook page gathered over 1,500 followers from moms all over central and northern Wisconsin, and that number has continued to rise month-over-month. Today, our average reach is approximately 400 women a day between the ages of 25 and 44. Most importantly, engagement is up. Thanks to our ongoing engagement campaign, we consistently see post engagements in the form of likes, comments, shares or link clicks from not only Doc Marsh followers but also from prospective followers within our key demographic.
